All four Waukesha high schools had fall sports teams honored by the Classic 8 Conference for their sportsmanship, according to information posted on the Classic 8 conference website.
The following schools received honors this fall in Waukesha:
- Waukesha West High School; football, girls swimming
- Catholic Memorial High School; boys soccer, boys cross country
- Waukesha North High School; girls tennis
- Waukesha South High School; boys volleyball, girls tennis
Each individual head varsity coach votes on the sportsmanship of their conference colleagues, i.e., all football coaches vote on all football programs. Points are tallied and a winner announced, according to Scott Kugi, athletic director at Muskego High School.
