Waukesha Deputy Superintendent Leaving School District for new Position

Waukesha schools' second-in-command is being hired by the Elmbrook School District.

Dana Monogue, chief academic officer and deputy superintendent of the Waukesha School District, has accepted the position of assistant superintendent of educational services with the Elmbrook School District, effective July 1.

Monogue has been with the for 12 years, serving in her current position for four years. Prior, she was principal of Horning Middle School for two years and a coordinator of special education services for six years.

“I am sincerely thankful to the district for everything it has done for me as I have been given a lot of opportunity and support," Monogue said via an email. "I am looking to experience a leadership position in a different district that will offer different opportunities and challenges.

"I will leave with mixed emotions as I truly love the principals, teachers and students with whom I work, but the opportunity in Elmbrook is one I could not pass up."

Monogue will replace Eileen Depka, who is leaving Elmbrook for a position with the New Berlin school district effective April 30.
