Waukesha School District Hires New Principals, Administrator

Some are promotions from within the school district.

The Waukesha School Board approved Wednesday night the hiring of two principals and a district administrator.

Sara Behrendt, the principal at was promoted to be the director of instruction middle school education. The position is new but was created by a restructuring of administrative staff following a vacancy.

β€œI think that Sara is a perfect match,” said Joe Como, a member of the Board of Education.

The board also promoted Tony DeRosa, the assistant principal at Butler, to be the principal at Butler.

Aida Cruz-Farin, a bilingual, gifted and talented coordinator in the Franklin School District, was hired to be the principal at Principal Jan Kirkel is retiring from the school district.

The school district is also looking to hire a principal for to have a full-time principal at Randall and a full-time principal at The school board did not vote on that position as the district needed additional time.
