Waukesha North/Kettle Moraine Beats Catholic Memorial in Swimming

Also, swim team kicks off fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The/Kettle Moraine women’s swimming and diving team improved its home record over the past five seasons to 19-3 with a 119-46 victory over Catholic Memorial.

WNKM won eight of the 12 events including a school record in the 400 Freestyle by junior Captain Briana Horozewski.

Catholic Memorial was paced by senior Anna Meinholz who won the 100 Freestyle and the 100 Breaststroke. Her time the 100 Breaststroke broke the pool record that she had set in 2009

The meet also marked the team’s kickoff to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  The team has sold 249 T-shirts so far and has generated close to $700 in revenue.  At the end of the T-shirt sales, the team will be donating the money to the Stillwaters Cancer Support Center of Waukesha.
