ViewFinder: Kids' Percussion Class at UW-Waukesha
Children received lessons and first-hand experience with a variety of percussion instruments through the UW-Waukesha school of continuing education Monday afternoon.
The loud boom of bass drums and the staggered pop of snare drums rang through the air during for ages 8 to 11 at University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Monday afternoon.
At the hour-long lesson, the kids learned about the different lengths of notes and how to keep time, the different types of drums and a little about how to set up and properly care for the equipment.
