Tickets Still on Sale for Christmas at Carroll

The annual Christmas at Carroll concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, in Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha. Reserved-seat tickets are $10 adults, $5 students and seniors 60 and older. Purchase in advance for preferred seat selections; call 262.524.7633. Tickets also will be available at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s theme is Sleepers, Awake! and is a presentation of music and poetry that asks us to “awaken” to the spiritual life that Christmas so richly represents. Music from Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous cantata Wachet Auf (“Sleepers, Awake”) will bookend the concert. Carroll’s Wind Symphony, Concert Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Vocal Collective, Chorale, Handbell Choir, Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Ensembles will perform. Audience participation is encouraged during several classic carols.
