Streets Closed Friday for Freshman Move-in Day

Carroll University expects nearly 1,900 students on the Waukesha campus this fall.

Two streets near the campus will be closed to through traffic on Friday for freshmen move-in day.

Wright Street, a one-block street between East Avenue and Charles Street, and East Laflin Avenue between East Avenue and Wilbur Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The City of Waukesha has approved the street closure request.

About 825 new freshmen are expected to move in to Carroll residence halls on Friday. Another 560 returning students will move in Sunday. The remaining 500 students who live in Carroll residence halls are fall athletes, student orientation leaders or summer school students who have already moved in.
