Families who have kindergarten students in the new dual-language program at Bethesda Elementary School had a meet-and-greet dinner Thursday where they brought family artifacts to share with others about their heritage.
The dual-language program has been in the School District of Waukesha for several years, but it is in its infancy at Bethesda.
The class is comprised of English-speaking students, bilingual students and Spanish-speaking students. The class is 90 percent in Spanish beginning in their kindergarten year and increases in English as the students move up grade levels.
A warm welcome to all the students and families participating in this transformational program. May all doors be open to you!
