North, South Lose Homecoming Games

Waukesha West High School was shut out by Catholic Memorial High School Friday night.

The homecoming crowds at Waukesha South and Waukesha North high schools may have shown out in force and with pride, but it didn’t help bring a football win to either school Friday night.

Waukesha South, with one conference win, had an uphill battle facing undefeated Arrowhead. The Blackshirts lost 14-61.

Waukesha North’s game against Muskego High School lead to the Northstars being outscored 21-44.

Meanwhile, Catholic Memorial High School faced last year’s division champions Waukesha West High School. The Crusaders put a stop to the Warriors, winning the game 17-0.

Catholic Memorial Coach Bill Young told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the win was “absolutely huge.”

"Any time you can get a shutout against a great team like Waukesha West, just give our kids all the credit in the world, and our coaches,” Young told the Milwaukee newspaper.
