The Crusaders are going for their first WIAA state crown in football, taking on two-time state champion Waupaca.
Waukesha Catholic Memorial won four state championships under the old private-school division, but seeks its first among all comers against Waupaca at 10 a.m. Friday in Madison in the WIAA Division 3 state championship game.
The Crusaders (10-2) defeated Mount Horeb/Barneveld 35-7 last Saturday to advance to Camp Randall.
