Each semester, several UW-Waukesha faculty and staff members present "50 Minute Lectures" on their field of research or on a special topic of interest. Sheila Llanas, who has taught English at UW-Waukesha, will take you through the events, ideas and circumstances in the early 1900s that inspired the revolution now known as Modern American Poetry. During that time, poets such as T.S. Eliot, Ezra Pound, Edna St. Vincent Millay and many others set about making poetry new. Admission is free and free parking is available in campus lots during the lectures.
