"Save-a-Life Saturday" is a way to recognize shooting victim U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and promote wider knowledge of CPR and first aid in the general population. The training, provided by the American Red Cross, takes 45 minutes to an hour and includes hands-only CPR, controlling external bleeding and how to help a person who is in shock. Please register in advance, either by phone or on-line. Thank you! (Also see separate listing for 3:00 p.m. class, this same date.)
