Carroll University Holding Youth Orchestra Auditions

Students entering grades 7 to 11 will have chance to tryout in late April and early May.

Auditions for the Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin will be held at Carroll University on five days in late April and early May, according to a news release from the university.

Auditions are open to students entering grades 7-11 in the 2011-12 academic year and who play woodwind, brass or percussion instruments. Dates for auditions are Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, Sunday, May 1, or Friday and Saturday, May 6-7, in the Shattuck Music Center, 218 N. East Ave., Waukesha.

Students should plan to perform a solo from the Wisconsin School Music Association solo or ensemble list, Class A or B.
