Nearly 4,500 parents and guests will attend Carroll's traditional outdoor ceremony, marked by bagpipers and carillon music, which will begin at 1 p.m. on the lawn in front of Main Hall on East Avenue. It will be preceded by a baccalaureate ceremony at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of Shattuck Music Center on East Avenue at Wright Street.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Howard Fuller, a 1962 Carroll graduate and founder/director of the Institute for the Transformation of Learning at Marquette University. He is nationally known for his support of fundamental educational reform, and in 2011, he was recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of the top seven educators in the world.

Carroll students....how about this....you cross at the stop lights instead of impeding traffic by crossing where ever you feel like it. The yellow flashing lights don't give you free rein to hold up drivers. It is shamefully how in considerate most of the students at this school are. Grow up. Learn some manners. Have a nice day, now get out!

You are a clown. Why do you not just stay away from campus and drive on a different road. We have busy lives and things to do and places to go as well. Just because we are in college doesn't mean we are not just as busy as someone who is working. So you grow up.

You mean crossing at the designated cross walks is impeding on your commute? Ever think of avoiding east avenue while driving? Not that hard of a concept. Maybe you should go back to college. Also the flashing yellow lights and the signs that say YIELD TO PEDESTRIANS do give us the right to cross the street, sorry if that holds up your busy life for two minutes, lord knows you are SO much more important than the rest of the world.
