Carroll University Announces Homecoming Events

will celebrate its homecoming, reunions and athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 7-9, 2001, with events and activities for alumni and friends of the college, a football game and parade. 

The weekend schedule

Friday:

Afternoon and evening, reunion gatherings for various classes. More information online.

9 p.m. Yell Like Hell, Van Male Field House, 227 N. Barstow St.

Saturday:

Alumni gatherings held throughout the day. More information online.

8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Barstow Street closed from south of Schneider Stadium, 240 N. Barstow St., to south of Cook Street.

10 a.m.-noon, Art Exhibit and Reception featuring work by recent graduates, faculty and emeriti. Humphrey Memorial Chapel and Art Center, 238 N. East Ave.

11 a.m.-? Pioneer Tailgate Party, with face painting, games and more for kids from noon to 2 p.m., music from noon to 2:30 p.m, in the Otteson parking lot, 200 block North East Avenue. Greek Alumni are invited to join current Greek students in the Tennis Center parking lot.

1 p.m. Parade. Lineup is at Martin and South streets. Route travels south on Barstow Street from South Street, east on Wisconsin Avenue, south on East Avenue, west on College Avenue, and north on Barstow. The parade ends at Barstow and Cook streets, north of Schneider Stadium. 

3 p.m. Carroll University Pioneers take on the Vikings of Lawrence University at Schneider Stadium. Tickets are $6 adults, $4 seniors and children 12 and younger.

Sunday: 

9 a.m. Worship service at Humphrey Memorial Chapel, open to all alumni and the entire Carroll community.

10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Hall of Fame Reception, Brunch and Induction Ceremony, Stackner Ballroom, Campus Center, 101 N. East Ave. Steve Harris '95, Marni Lynn '01, Merle Masonholder (football coach, 1982-2000) and Doug Wrecke '94 will be inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame. Advance registration is required.
