Carroll Students, Staff 'Jam the Van' for Food Pantry of Waukesha County

second annual Jam the Van food drive culminated on Nov. 18 with a final count of 1,964 non-perishable food items. That is 417 items more than last year’s total. The top participants were students who live in North and South Bergstrom halls, with a total of more than 700 food items.

Jake Eisch, area director for Frontier Hall, organized the event.

“This is very exciting because we actually outgrew our van and had to upgrade to a lift truck to fit all of the donations,” Eisch said.

The campus-wide food drive included students, administrators, faculty and staff participants, and donations made by neighboring Waukesha residents. Donations were collected for two weeks and were delivered to the on Nov. 18.

“It has been incredible to see the generous giving that has taken place, and we are happy to see such a great turnout,” Eisch said. “Hopefully this is a tradition that will keep gaining momentum in the future and will continue to impact our community in a positive way.”
