1st-Graders Donate $292 to The Women's Center

St. Mary's students give Lenten proceeds to emergency shelter for domestic abuse victims.

The first grade at St. Mary’s donated their Lenten proceeds to The Women’s Center, according to a news release.

The first-grade students in Noreen Schultz’s and Jo Ann Byers’ classes donated $292 to the emergency shelter for domestic abuse victims.  

The Women’s Center provides emergency shelter, transitional living, group and individual counseling, onsite childcare, child abuse prevention programming, legal advocacy and employment counseling. The center also provides Hispanic outreach, community education programs, information and referral services and a 24-hour confidential crisis line.
