Olympian Gwen Jorgensen Nominates Madison Coach For 2012 Inspiration Award
2012 Olympic Triathlete Nominates Coach, Cindi Bannink of Madison, WI for O.C. Tanner Inspiration Award
If you've ever wondered where the inspiration to participate in the Olympic Games comes from, look no further.
2012 Olympic Triathlete credits her coach, Cindi Bannink, for her motivation to go for the gold in London this year. In fact, Jorgensen has submitted her story of appreciation in the hopes of honoring Bannink with the 2012 O.C. Tanner Inspiration Award.
O.C. Tanner (the designer, manufacturer and donor of the commemorative rings for Team USA) created the Inspiration Award during the 2010 Olympic Games so athletes could honor their Olympic mentors.
From Friday, July 27 through Sunday, August 12, America is invited to cast their votes on the O.C. Tanner Facebook page, Appreciate Great Work, for the Olympians who will receive the Inspiration Award to share with their mentors. The winning mentors will be presented with an Olympic ring of their own -- a 14k gold commemorative ring.
