It's Going To Be A Busy Weekend

Alderman Roger Patton said it best Tuesday night when he described this upcoming weekend, saying there would be "a heck of a lot of activities."

Alderman Roger Patton said it best Tuesday night when he described this upcoming weekend, saying there would be "a heck of a lot of activities."

"There is about a dozen things going on in this community," Patton said.

Yikes. Patton is right. I took a look at my calender and list of places I am going and where I am sending freelancer writers and photographers.

It's definitely a long one.

Tomorrow morning is the kickoff for the Waukesha's Farmers Market. I am looking forward to checking it out. This early in May, though, I have to wonder what fresh fruits and vegetables I will be able to find on Saturday!

Patch also plans on being at the RiverWalk for Breast Cancer, the GEMS event at UW-Waukesha, the chance to make a world record at Hillcrest Elementary School, Support Our Troops Day at the Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum, Waukesha West High School's prom and, of course, the art crawl.

It's safe to say that the community packed pretty much every event they could this Saturday. But the weekend doesn't stop there.

Sunday includes Mothers' Day and Carroll University graduation. And probably a half dozen other activities in the area. Needless to say, it is going to be a busy one!

What events are you going to this weekend?
