Wisconsin Improves Business Rankings

State Rep. Adam Neylon statement on the National Federal of Independent Business recently recognizing Wisconsin's recent improvements as a place to do business.

Last week, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) recognized Wisconsin as one of the best states in the country to do business. NFIB cited Chief Executive Magazine, which ranked Wisconsin at #17 on the “2013 Best and Worst States for Business” list.

Based on tax regulations, workforce quality and living environment, Wisconsin has climbed up 3 spots from the 2012 rankings. Wisconsin has posted one of the biggest gains among any state in the nation since 2010, when Governor Walker and the Republicans took control in both houses of the State Legislature,

“Republicans in Wisconsin are committed to improving our overall business climate and creating more opportunities for small business owners and entrepreneurs to thrive,” said State Representative Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee), a small business owner and President of a commercial window cleaning company in Waukesha.  “We want to make Wisconsin the best place in the world to work, live and raise a family.”

“By focusing our efforts on creating a better regulatory climate, lowering taxes, and being fiscally responsible with the taxpayer’s money, we are moving Wisconsin in the right direction. But there is much more work to be done,” said Neylon.

Neylon was elected to the state Assembly in April. He has made economic development and small business growth a major focus in his first term in office. He’s been featured at the Waukesha County Business Alliance’s “One-on-One with Your Public Official” event and the Republican Party of Waukesha County Business Coalition Roundtable.
