Fro-Yo Cafe Opening in Carroll U Residence Hall

Berry Me and convenience store among new businesses locating in Frontier Hall in Waukesha.

The retail spaces in the new residence hall at Carroll University are rapidly attracting new businesses after the storefronts remained empty the first school year.

Berry Me and a convenience store will locate into the retail spaces. Agreements for another establishment to locate into the building are being finalized.

Berry Me, a frozen yogurt café, does not have a firm opening date, but construction could be completed by late November or early December, according to Catherine Huelsman of Berg Management.

A convenience store with basic supplies such as milk, cereal and toothpaste will also open around the same time, according to Huelsman.

Au Bon Pain, which opened in September 2011, was the first building to locate into the residence hall that was open to students at the start of the 2011-12 school year.

Frontier Hall has one remaining retail vacancy that is about 900 square feet with a possible small outdoor seating area. The third phase to the Carroll University residence halls, which is owned by Berg Management, is in the works a few years earlier than originally planned because of increased student enrollment at the university.
