You Know You’re in Waukesha When…
Republican Party booth gets more attention than Democratic Party at Fiesta Waukesha.
Attendance was sparse at the beginning of Fiesta Waukesha just prior to the start of the opening ceremony Friday. However, at the booth for the Republican Party of Waukesha County, it seemed like there was a party.
Granted, it helped that Republican Sen. Ron Johnson came and spoke during the festival’s opening ceremonies. Other members who are influential with conservatives also gathered near the booth for the Republicans.
At the same time, on the opposite side of the tent sat a few lone Democrats who were running the Waukesha County Democratic Party booth. To be honest, I didn't see it at first. A friend had to point out where it was situated.

It’s safe to say that Waukesha County’s reputation as a conservative county came true during Fiesta Waukesha.
