Waukesha Sends out Tax Bills

Tax rate is $21.21 for 2012 budgets.

is sending out 23,620 tax bills to Waukesha property owners today.

“The rate per thousand of assessed valuation is $21.21,” states an e-mail from Clerk/Treasurer Tom Neill. “This would result in a net reduction of approximately $52 on a median home valued at $187,300. Payments can be made in person, by mail, or at any Waukesha State Bank location.”

  • Waukesha School District: $51,941,639; $9.64 per $1,000 of assessed property value
  • City of Waukesha: $51,466,874; $9.55 per $1,000 of assessed property value
  • Waukesha County Technical College: $2.10 per $1,000 of assessed property value
  • State of Wisconsin: $978,715; $.18 per $1,000 of assessed property value
  • State Tax Credit: $1.56 per $1,000 of assessed property value (reduction on tax bill)

The budget included a message from

As Council and Mayor, your priorities are our priorities."
