Waukesha County Receives AAA Bond Rating
Bond rating is the highest a government agency can obtain from Moody and Fitch
Waukesha County received a triple-A bond rating from Moody Investors Service and Fitch Ratings, which is the highest rating the government body can receive, according to a news release.
A triple-A bond rating evaluates the county’s debt obligations and maintaining the rating allows for lower borrowing costs, according to the news release.
“Waukesha County has a great team that manages county finances with efficiency and skill,” said Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas in the release. “This triple-A bond rating ultimately allows Waukesha County to save taxpayers money by allowing us to pay lower the interest rates on loans to fund highway and other capital projects each year.”
