Waukesha County Airport to Get Taxiway Upgrades

A $157,895 pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation project utilizes county, state and federal funding.

Governor Scott Walker on Tuesday announced a $157,895 design project for pavement reconstruction and rehabilitation of taxiways at the , according to a news release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

From the news release:

Andrew Trimble, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project is needed to improve deteriorating sections of pavement. It includes lighting and signage to help guide pilots on the taxiways, and will also reduce the size of a parking ramp – increasing green space at the airport.

Design work is expected to be completed by the summer of 2012.
