Waukesha Alderman Delays Recommending Referendum

While Waukesha Alderman Duane Paulson still wants to ask the pubic if they want e, he decided to hold off on making that referral during Tuesday’s Common Council meeting.

Paulson said during the meeting that he still stands by his statements to the media that he wants to put the question to the voters. And he reiterated that it wouldn’t change the position until the next mayoral election, so “candidates can then plan accordingly.”

But, Paulson did not make the request to begin looking into the referendum. However, he said he anticipates bringing such a request forward within the year.
