Trash in Central Business District Can't Be Placed on Curb Until 5 p.m.

Common Council revises ordinance to reflect the change during Tuesday's Common Council meeting.

Property owners in the downtown Waukesha area can no longer place their trash out on the curb prior to 5 p.m. the day before trash pick up, according to a revised ordinance approved by the Common Council Tuesday night.

The council did not discuss the ordinance changes before it was unanimously approved. The ordinance extends to the entire central business district.

Trash that is placed on the curb before 5 p.m. and is removed by the city will be subject to an additional charge on the property’s tax bill.
