Terry Thieme Running for Waukesha Mayor

Two Waukesha residents have announced plans to run for Waukesha mayor in the April 2014 election.

Common Council President Terry Thieme is running for Waukesha mayor in the 2014 spring election, the Waukesha Freeman reported Wednesday.

Thieme, a retired Waukesha police officer who currently works for Kohl’s Credit Center, was re-elected in April to represent District 1. He has been an alderman in Waukesha since 2008.

There are now two people officially announcing intentions to run for Waukesha mayor. Local attorney Shawn Reilly announced his plans to run for mayor in June.

Mayor Jeff Scrima, who defeated then-Mayor Larry Nelson in 2010, has not yet revealed his plans for the next term.
