Small, Playable Guitars Arrive as Part of Gibson GuitarTown Project

The GuitarTown project has already received initial government approvals for the project from the Public Art Committee, Plan Commission and Board of Public Works. Lynn Gaffey, who is in charge of selecting the artists’ designs for the GuitarTown project, said the artists will be announced after the Common Council approves the project.

Norm Bruce, media spokesman for the project, said the playable guitars will be located in businesses in the downtown to keep the guitars from being stolen.
