Racine Journal Times reports backlog in Waukesha County and less expensive fees in Milwaukee County as reason for change.

The Racine County Medical Examiner’s office is planning to move its autopsies from to Milwaukee County, citing frustrations with a backlog of autopsies and less costly fees, according to an article in the Racine Journal Times.

The article states Racine County is waiting on 35 autopsies from the last two years and that Milwaukee County will charge $1,500 per autopsy – $300 less than Waukesha County.
