Rep. Kuglitsch Explains Assembly Vote

Kuglitsch says he supports bill because of steps to balance budget, save jobs

Editor's note: This statement came from state Rep. Mike Kuglitsch, R-New Berlin, who represents portions of the city and town of Waukesha. Kuglitsch issued this statement after the state Assembly passed measures that limit collective bargaining for public employee unions to wages.

“The state of Wisconsin needs to bring this issue to an end and there is no evidence that the fleeing 14 senators are willing to come back to the Capitol and debate this important legislation even after concessions were made by Governor (Scott) Walker and the Senate Republicans.

“The Senate Democrats have paralyzed the democratic process and as a state we cannot delay this process any longer; it is either this or massive layoffs and putting off our state’s debt.
