Ready, Set, Let's Go to the Polls

It's Election Day in Waukesha. We have your polling locations and ballot information for those in the city.

Today's the day. It's Election Day in Waukesha. It's time to step up to the polls, make your mark and get your "I voted" sticker. The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

While today's election isn't the presidential election, there are still several races that could bring people to the polls.

Statewide, candidates will be asked to pick between incumbent David Prosser and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg

In the county, that is being contested. Assistant District Attorney Lloyd Carter is challenging Kathleen Stilling, who was appointed to the bench in 2010 by then-Gov. Jim Doyle.

Four candidates are running for the three positions on the Waukesha School Board. Incumbents Barbara Brzenk, Kurt O'Bryan and Joe Como are trying to convince voters that they have the needed experience to stay on the board to deal with the upcoming challenges the school district is facing. Challenger Karin Sue Rajnicek is hoping voters want a change in perspective and is asking them to elect her to the school board.

In the city, two aldermanic seats are being challenged. In District 13, are to the position that is being vacated by Alderman Rick Tortomasi because of work-related time commitments. incumbent Alderman Steve Johnson is being challenged by Annette Kuglitsch.

If you haven't registered to vote yet, you can do so at the polls on Tuesday as long as you have proof of residence, which can include a driver's license or state identification card, a utility bill, property tax bills, leases and other documents.   • District 14: Waukesha North High School, 2222 Michigan Ave.
