Primary Election Planned for Aldermanic District 12

Three candidates emerge for one-year term on Waukesha Common Council.

Three candidates have filed paperwork and nomination papers, effectively securing their spot on the ballot for the District 12 election for the Waukesha Common Council.

A primary election will be held Feb. 21 to fill the remainder of the term, which expires in April 2013, according to City Clerk/Treasurer Tom Neill.

The top two candidates in the February primary election will advance to the April 2012 election.

The District 12 Common Council seat is the only city seat up for election this spring. Former Alderman Charles Lichtie resigned from the position in early 2011 because of health-related reasons.
