Preliminary Hearing Set in Sexual Assault Charges Against Bill Kramer

State Rep. Bill Kramer, R-Waukesha, had his bail set on Monday at a $5,000 signature bond after being charged with two counts of sexual assault in March.

Kramer, 49, will return to Waukesha County Circuit Court on May 15 for a preliminary hearing.

Kramer has already announced that he will not seek re-election. He went into treatment earlier this year after he was accused of sexually harassing two people while on fundraising trip in Washington, D.C.

The woman involved in the April 2011 incident came forward to the Muskego Police Department after learning about the allegations in Washington, D.C., according to WISN 12 News. The woman told authorities she had been assaulted by Kramer in a parking lot after the GOP's Pints 'N Politics event in Muskego, according to WISN 12 News.
