PHOTOS: Occupy Protesters Call for Waukesha County Clerk's Resignation

Kathy Nickolaus has already stepped down from handling the recall election of Gov. Scott Walker after pressure from Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas.

About a dozen Occupy Riverwest protesters called for embattled Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus’ resignation Wednesday night, just over a week since the latest Election Night flub in the county.

With shouts of “Nickolaus, you look ridiculous,” the small group drew attention to passing traffic as they took their signs and stood in the grassy median on West Moreland Boulevard.

Vrakas' announcement came just two days after , when some election results weren't posted until 10 hours after the polls closed.

Nickolaus, who garnered national attention last April when her office made a mistake that , said she introduced new procedures during the April 3 election to follow guidelines set forth by the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board, which oversees elections in the state.

As a result, some elections results were not posted on the county's website until 6 a.m. Wednesday. Nickolaus told Patch April 4 she blamed the procedures set by the GAB for slowing down the vote counting.
