Waukesha County officials on Wednesday celebrated the beginning of for the new building on the with a groundbreaking ceremony.
The project, is coming in under budget so far, according to Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas.
Waukesha County Board Chairman Jim Dwyer, who is from Menomonee Falls, spoke during the ceremony about the extra 16 years of life the county was able to squeeze out of the 100-year-old building that currently houses the Department of Health and Human Services.
“We are just hanging on by a thread,” Dwyer said.
