Mitt Romney Mentions Waukesha in Iowa Speech

Waukesha's been no stranger to politicians the past few months, and is apparently gotten the attention of former Gov. Mitt Romney.

Jill Biden’s visited the city that has a strong majority of Republican voters to campaign for her husband, Vice President Joe Biden.

Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, has been here twice since being selected as a running mate for Mitt Romney.

But this election matters more than that. It matters to your family.

It matters to the senior who needs to get an appointment with a medical specialist but is told by one receptionist after another that the doctor isn’t taking any new Medicare patients, because Medicare has been slashed to pay for Obamacare.

It matters to the man from Waukesha, Wisconsin, I spoke with several days ago, in what were supposed to be his best work years. He said that he used to have a job at $25 an hour with benefits and now has one at $8 an hour, without benefits.

Romney was also in Waukesha with Ryan in March before Wisconsin's primary election. They were accused by Democrats of bribing voters with sub sandwiches, but the Waukesha County District Attorney determined no violations occurred.
