Mayor: Woodman's Considering Waukesha Location

Jeff Scrima says he reached out to employee-owned grocery story shortly after taking office.

Woodman’s Market is looking at locating one of its employee-owned grocery stores in Waukesha and the official announcement could potentially come within six weeks, Mayor Jeff Scrima said shortly after midnight Wednesday  following the conclusion of the Common Council meeting.

The mayor said he reached out to Woodman’s shortly after taking office. Scrima said he and Community Development Director Steve Crandell have been in discussions with the grocery store.

Scrima confirmed he knew of at least three sites Woodman’s was considering.
