Lloyd Carter Wins Big in Waukesha County Judge Race

Assistant district attorney defeats appointed judge by 66.9 percent of vote.

Waukesha County Assistant District Attorney Lloyd Carter was a strong favorite in the Waukesha County Circuit Court race when he defeated incumbent Judge Kathleen Stilling by 31,931 votes.

Stilling was appointed by then-Gov. Jim Doyle last year. Soon after Doyle's appointment, Carter announced his intentions to run against the woman.

Carter received 63,129 votes, which was 66.9 percent of the vote. Stilling received 31,288 votes, which was 33.1 percent of the vote. Results are unofficial until canvassing.
