It’s Official: Peoria County Approves Contract with City Administrator
Lori Curtis Luther to take top post in Illinois.

The Peoria County board approved her employment contract unanimously Wednesday night, Luther confirmed in a message to Patch.
Luther, 36, was named late last week as the top candidate for the Illinois county. She has been in Waukesha since January 2008.

Luther will be paid an annual salary of $145,000 a year in her new position. She will begin her new position Aug. 5.
"Peoria County government has an excellent reputation, and my family and I are excited for the opportunity to join this community," Luther said in a Peoria County news release.

Luther was given a 3-1/2 year contract for her new position, which includes a $500 monthly auto allowance and provisions for vacation, sick and personal time.
Waukesha's Director of Community Development Steve Crandell will take over as the interim city administrator, which is a position he held prior to Luther moving to Waukesha in 2008.
