Rick Hastings Wins District 12 Race
Appointed alderman is elected to the Common Council
District 12 will continue to be represented by Alderman Rick Hastings for at least one more year.
Hastings beat Ron Kading – 545 votes to 243 votes.
aldermanic seat is up for a one-year term after previous Alderman Charles Lichtie resigned in early 2011 for health-related reasons. Hastings was appointed to the seat more than a year ago. Kading, a long-time resident, was challenging him to the seat.
