Gov. Walker Names Waukesha Man to SEWRPC

Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's newest member is Michael Crowley.

A former Plan Commissioner was recently appointed by Gov. Scott Walker to serve on the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.

Michael Crowley, who was the recipient of this summer declaring Aug. 13, 2011, the Michael Crowley-Ride to Cure Diabetes Day, is the vice president of technical services at Midland Plastics in New Berlin.

SEWRPC serves Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties. The 21-member board has three members from each county.

Crowley currently serves as chairman of the Waukesha County Airport Operations Commission and of the City of Waukesha Community Development Block Grant Committee.

Crowley, who lives in Waukesha with his wife, Sherie, and two children, has been in the community for more than 20 years. He is the past president and a current board member with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Southeast Wisconsin Chapter.

Crowley previously served on the following boards and commissions:

  • Waukesha Plan Commission
  • New Berlin Economic Development Corporation (president)
  • Waukesha County Solid Waste Management Board (vice chairman)
