GE Serves at The Women’s Center

There is a fresh coat of paint at shelter for domestic abuse victims.

GE Health Care employees and their family and friends painted the Sister House Emergency Shelter, staff offices, and hallways at on Oct. 16. The GE volunteer group also generously donated cleaning supplies for the painting project.  This renovation helps provide a clean and comfortable environment for clients utilizing programs and services at the agency.

“I am always humbled by the generosity of Waukesha County’s business community,” said Marie Kingsbury, executive director of The Women’s Center. “The GE crew brought with them a sense of purpose in helping our staff provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere to women and their children in bad predicaments, and this commitment was conveyed in their volunteer work and the end result.”
