Common Council Approves Project Bids

Frame Park baseball lights project given to Pieper Electric.

Two city projects received the green light to move forward Tuesday night after the Common Council approved awarding bids to companies for projects.

Pieper Electric-Milwaukee was awarded the low bid of $168,869 to in The total project was estimated to cost $203,000 with the city funding the project with $73,000 in park impact fees and $105,000 through a 10-year loan borrowed by the city. The remaining $27,000 is being funded by the Waukesha School District,Β Carroll University, Catholic Memorial High School and the Waukesha & Pewaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau.

When it came time to vote on approving the bids, Alderman Joe Pieper said Pieper Electric is no relation to him or his family.

β€œI want to make that very clear,” Pieper said.

The other project was the Milky Way Road pavement replacement, which was awarded to Payne & Donlan, Inc., for its low bid of $467,529.73.
