Brian Running was elected as the next city attorney after beating the other candidate, Rick Congdon, 5,195 votes to 3,452 votes, which was 60 percent of the vote.
Long-time City Attorney Curt Meitz chose to not seek re-election this year. Meitz served as city attorney since 1985.
