Batting Cages Proposal Is Home Run With Common Council

Summer softball season will have batting cages at Saratoga Softball Complex. The city is estimating that it could receive $1,500 in revenues from the private company operating the company.

When the summer softball season begins, will have batting cages run by a private company, Heavy Hitters.

The Waukesha Common Council has approved the agreement between Heavy Hitters and the city for Heavy Hitters to operate the batting cages at the city sports complex. The Waukesha Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department will receive 15 percent of the gross sales and $25 per day for scheduled rental groups.

Heavy Hitters is responsible for its insurance coverage for any potential issues that would arise with the private company’s business while on the city property.
