87 People Losing Jobs, Waukesha Company Warns

Westwood Aluminum Castings terminating all its employees.

Eighty-seven people are losing their jobs by Friday when Westwood Aluminum Castings in Waukesha terminates all of its employees, according to a notice filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

β€œ(The) DWD will work with its regional partner, the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) Workforce Development Board, to provide Rapid Response service,” states an e-mail from John Dipko, communications director for the DWD.

Westwood Aluminum Castings employed 71 people full time who have been with the company for more than six months, 12 people full time who have been working for the company less than six months, three people part time and one manager, according to the notice.

The company’s website states that its facility is 200,000 square feet and that a new management team was installed in 2009 after the company was sold to a new owner. The facility is located at 1242 Lincoln Ave.
