Grim Reaper Tattoo Leads to Felony Charges

A Waukesha man is facing multiple felony charges alleging he sold pills to a police informant so he could get a Grim Reaper tattoo.

Brandon M. Ward, 25, was charged in on Wednesday with one count of felony bail jumping, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance near a park and one count of possession with intent to deliver cocaine near a park. If convicted, he faces up to 46 years in prison and $135,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Nov. 1, a police informant set up a deal to purchase 50 Oxycodone pills for $300 from Ward in a parking lot near . Ward told the informant he was selling the pills because he wanted to get a tattoo of the Grim Reaper.

On Nov. 10, the informant and an undercover police officer set up another deal in the parking lot of the gas station where Ward agreed to sell 45 Opana pills for $500. The three went into the deal and Ward told the informant he had gotten the tattoo since the last deal took place.

A police tactical team then came in and arrested Ward before the deal could be completed.

After searching Ward officers found cocaine on him as well. He told officers he became addicted to prescription pills after getting injured as a teenager, and he sells them because he has no money. Ward said he doesn’t use cocaine, but decided to sell a little to make some extra money.
