Woman Charged with 3rd OWI After Rolling Car
Suspect told police she had one glass of wine, but had a blood alcohol level of 0.17 percent, according to criminal complaint.
A Dousman woman is facing her third operating while intoxicated charge after she rolled her car Saturday in the Town of Waukesha.
Billie Jean O’Donnell, 48, was charged in Tuesday with one count of third offense OWI. If convicted, she faces up to one year in Waukesha County Jail and $2,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, at 2:58 a.m. Saturday, O’Donnell was travelling northbound on Guthrie Road near Crestview Drive when she lost control of her car, hit a tree and rolled the car. When police arrived they found O’Donnell’s car lying on its roof and her standing next to it.

She told investigators she drank one glass of wine at 4 p.m. Friday, however, she had a blood alcohol level of 0.17 percent at the time of the incident, the complaint states.
O’Donnell was previously convicted of drunken driving in 2007 and 2010. She’s free on $500 cash bail while awaiting trial.
