Woman Charged After Uriniating on Church Steps

According to the criminal complaint, on June 28, several children were playing at the church when they saw Nicole M. Rodriguez, 38, walk up to the stair at the front door of the church, pull down her pants and begin urinating. The children then followed Rodriguez to a house in the 800 block of Beechwood Avenue and reported the incident.
Rodriguez was extremely intoxicated and had a difficult time keeping her eyes open while being interviewed by police, telling them she had “enough” to drink, the complaint states. She initially denied urinating at the church until she was informed that people had witnessed it.

Rodriguez had a blood alcohol level of 0.23 percent at the time of the incident.
She was also charged Wednesday on a second bail jumping charge after she was intoxicated Tuesday and fell down in front of Hardee’s on Barstow Street, cutting her arms and legs. Rodriguez’s blood alcohol level was 0.33 percent at the time of that incident, according to court documents.

If convicted on both charges, she faces up to 18 months in prison and $20,000 in fines.
